How do I get my ex-boyfriend to see the he made a mistake by breaking up with me

Agree totally. He obviously doesn't think he has made a mistake or he wouldn't have broken up with you. In his eyes this is the right decision.

You are never going to convince him he has made a mistake. The more you try, the more he will pull away, human nature!

Leave him alone and be yourself. If he then comes back you can decide what to do. If not, well, you are happy with who you are again.
