My NOTEBOOK laptop has a winxp home edition version and after using it for sometime, it restarts without booting up. I select safe mode go in but that doesn't eventuate, it keeps on restarting.

I'm suspecting it's the RAM but don't have a spare one to actually prove it.

Can someone help me on this one?

I doesn't sound like the ram because you said is posting and running.. normally if it is RAM you don't get pass the post screen. It sounds like your windows file system is corrupted. Do you windows xp disk... try to boot from there and repair it. Did you make in major changes to the system you can try system restore.

I had this problem because I was using system restore and I got impatient and restarted the PC... then I switched it back and it reset at the winxp loading screen.. I had 2 have the hard drive wiped and xp installed again... you can have your files and all that recovered though
