Relocation with shared parenting agreement in OHIO
My daughter is almost two years old and her father and I both live in the same city in Ohio and have a shared parenting agreement. The visitation works fine and I have her approximately 80% of the time. He is saying he wants to move to Cleveland which is about 150 miles away. He thinks he can have a week on week off or two weeks on two weeks off arrangement. What do the courts think about this and what are my rights?? help!!

Well, you will both have to go back to court to have new arrangements made. In my experience a few factors come into play when dealing with these types of arrangements. It helps that she isn't in school yet so that isn't a problem as of now, what does factor though is who will care for her while he is at work. If it means that she would have to get used to another day care and have a day care with you too that she would be having to switch back everyother week I doubt the court would grant that. Just because of the stress on her. What a judge is more likely to order is weekend visits where he picks her up Friday after work and drops her off Sunday evening. Or something similar to that depending on his work schedule.

Your rights are that any visitation schedule has to be approved by both parties and the court. I agree with stina that a court is unlikley to grant such an arrangement.

My best friend and another of my friends have a kid together. It they were never married either and when his job moved him 130 miles away they had a similar situation. What happened with them is that he got their son every weekend and two separate weeks during the summer the drive time was split between them each going half way (or as close to as possible) for drop off and pick up. Their son was three when it started and he is in kindergarten now and those arrangemets are still working. That is why I posted what I did earlier good luck!
