    Bryant propane furnace and AC
    Hi,

Have a chance to buy a 5 year old propane furnace, Bryant 135K BTU, upflow, with 5 ton blower air conditioner is Bryant, furnace model is: 383kav060135.

Really just want the furnace but have to buy both.

Any thoughts on this furnace? I presume I wouldn't have to install the ac unit if I bought it.

    Appreciate any help.

It's a good 80% furnace same as all. Will your duct work handel a 5 ton system with 135K BTU?

    Hi,

Not really sure as this is a house I am in the process of buying.

Any way to recognize if the duct work can handle 5 ton, and/or could be modified to do so?

    Thanks,

Lets say you have a 3 ton system now the duct work would be sized for that system and the 5 ton would not work with that duct work. If you use the 5 ton you will need to move around 2000 cfm of air a 3 ton needs to move around 1200 cfm. To over size a system can be just as bad as being under sized.
