Toilet Shut Off Valve leaking
I am new on this board so I'll try to make this simple.
Just replaced a toilet and now, of course, the shutoff valve leaks. I decided to replace the valve with a new one since the old valve has been on for quite a few years.
The water supply line from the wall is galvanized threaded pipe (old house). The pipe is in good condition, no damage. I installed the new shut off valve using teflon tape. Now the new valve leaks at the pipe/valve connection.
What did I do wrong? I have tightened and untightened but to no avail. It still leaks at the connection to the supply line.
Am I missing something?
Thanks in advance for any help.
