Info on tax filing form for individual who worked on OPT and then went to > H1B
I entered the US in 8/2002 and graduated in 5/2006. I worked for a firm from 6/2006 - 5/2007 on an OPT. I then left the US as my opt had expired and got another firm to file for my H1B. I returned to the US on 10/2007 and got paid from 10/07-12/07 on h1b status. How should I go about filing for my taxes? I am thinking of filing NR as I would like to get away with not paying SS/FICA for at least this one last yr.
    Thanks

File the nonresident tax return. Only problem is that this is your 6th year on F1/OPT, and you will need to explain on your return.
