    Water from my Shower Head
OK... I have a bathtub spout with a diverter on top. I pull up the diverter and water is diverted to the showerhead. But, when the diverter is down, some water still comes from the showerhead continuosly. I unscrewed the spout to check it. While the spout was removed, I turned on the water and some water STILL came from the showerhead even though the spout was removed and water was flowing freely out of the spout pipe. What would cause this?

Your situation could only be caused by a partial blockage in the valve body at the point where the 1/2" threaded adapter that connects to the spout screws into the valve. Turn the water off and open up the valve. Behind the cartridge in the brass valve body you will see a opening in the bottom. Run a wire down the opening to the 1/2" ell at the bottom. Now go in from the pipe coming out of the wall and then reassamble and test. Better now? Regards, Tom
