My 97 honda civic will turn over but won't start
I was at work when my wife called me and told me that our civic won't start. Whis is weird because we were just driving it the other day. She went out this afternoon and it would not start.
So, what would be the problem for a 97 civic that turns over, but will not start?

. Test all under-dash and under-hood fuses with a test light or multimeter:

. Perform tests, in Sections A and B, below:

The compression went below 80psi, if it was cold when this happened it means that one or most of your piston rings are worn and the cold "especially if below freezing" caused the aluminum and alloys surrounding to shrink. In a normal car this wouldn't be a problem but in a car with worn rings or other compression issues this can wreak haveak in cold starts.

rong1111, replace the Ignition Control Module (ICM) and coil inside the distributor. Apply silicone heat transfer grease to the back of the new ICM. This assumes the CEL comes on and goes out after 2 seconds, when the ignition switch is turned to ON (Position II).
