    Old crush dreams
I used to like a boy last year in seventh grade, but it of course went no where. I stopped liking him near the beginning of the school year. I barely see him and we've spoken maybe like twice. I know I don't have feelings for him anymore but he keeps popping up in my dreams. Why is he in my dreams?

Are you thinking about them throughout the day?
It could mean anything from you are obsessed to you simply have him on your mind a good bit.

No, that's the strange thing, I mean I never think about him.

It is something in your sub conscience for some unknown reason.

Hmm, do you know how I'd get over it?

Time and focusing on hobbies and other interests.
Thinking about things you enjoy before you fall asleep.

Was there something about him that you really liked? For example, maybe he was really funny or was always there to listen to you. Maybe your dreams could be your sub conscious mind telling you that you miss those qualities that he had. Or maybe he represents that time of your life, you know, reminds you of when you're in 7th grade. Maybe when you've been thinking about 7th grade, you might have a dream about him.

When I was your age, this happened to me too. As long as the dreams are nice, not fearful - let them take their time to fade. It is absolutely normal to dream - it's part of growing up and your subconscious also goes along with you during your waking days. You were interested in him for a while, and now you claim not any more, but there was something that was not finished - that's all.
I'm 57 now, and still dream of Kevin Costner - who my ex-husband looked like - but I know they are just dreams and eventually will be replaced by others or there will be times when I don't dream at all.
Oh, by the way, later when you get older you'll also have some real cute or even odd fantasies - and guess what - we all do and those are also normal. Some people even write articles about their fantasies and make money out of them. The mind is a wonderful thing that sometimes helps imagination to the good, and also turns people bad - it's all on what we do while awake afterwards.

Good luck and keep us posted.

Some people help themselves by writing down their dreams - reading them years later and writing books about them - anything is possible.
