For me bicycling a lot and also walking briskly helped to greatly reduce my waist line, weight and other areas on my body that were very noticeably fat. I also changed considerably what I was eating and how much. It took me a year-and-a-half, but I went from about 250 pounds down to about 183 pounds (my high school weight) doing the things that I have already described in brief here.

Bicycling will help you. You would also need to change you eating diet if you would won’t faster results. But to answer your question yes bicycling will help. If you are looking for more information on reducing your tummy swimming and cardio training will help you as well. For me running does it for me but then again I have been in shape for over 18 years.

Biking is a great exercise, a lot of your stomach, leg, butt, abs, back muscles are working hard for you, (you'll notice soon after you start. ) It helps burn calories, and is less stress then running. But you need to work in other routines in order to really help the belly, resistance or weight training, threadmill, aerobics, but you need to work the whole body in order to burn body fat, or help with the tummy area muscles.
