Why won't my snowblower stay running?
I have a five horse power snowblower and the only way I can start it is using the electric start on it. When it is started it will stop running when I go to blow the snow. The only way I can blow snow is if I have it in first gear and I have to keep stopping so it will catch up on blowing the snow. It acts like it has no power at all. What could be wrong with it?

    Needs carburetor adjustment or rebuild.

I agree. Also, snowblowers have no air cleaners since there is little dust and debris blowing around in the snow. Operative word here is "little." Sometimes just dropping the carb bowel and cleaning it with spray carb cleaner is all it takes. While you are doing this it's a good idea to actuate the float up and down and allow a small amount of fuek to dribble out checking that the needle valve is working.

Funny thing about carbs. Sometimes just going through the steps to check them fixes them. Other times you do a total rebuild and they can actually be worse than when you started. I have noticed that some of the Asian carbs found on many small 2 cycle engines for blowers and weed eater have no replaceable valve seats. The carbs are like Bic lighters, just throw them away and buy new.
