    Move out maintence Fee
Hi I hope someone can answer this for me. I have lived in this apaprtmetn for over a year and I am moving and the landlord said they want 20 day maintence fee upon move out. It is not in my lease that I have to pay this fee. I went to the main property management company office to ask them about this and they thought it was a charge to re rent the apartment. If it is not in the lease do I have to pay this?

I haven't heard of that before, even here in Ontario. Sounds fishy to me and if it isn't in your lease forget about it. Sounds like they are charging you to clean up after you leave. If you are leaving everything in order I would suggest you take pics of every room, floor, kitchen, etc. to show that there was no wall/hole damage, no dirty floors etc.

Thanks for the answer, it was the first time we heard of it as well. I live in NewMexico, when we spoke to the head of the property managenet company she raised her eyes when the other agent tried to explain it to her and she still did not know what she meant. She thought it was a cost for re renting the place.
I will take photos I do every time I move. It is the best proof of condition of the house.
