    Exertional headaches
Hey, so I've been working out (upper body only) for about 3 weeks so far. I've increased the weight by about 5-10 pds each week. However this week I've noticed I'm getting exertional headaches (I researched headaches and came to the conclusion that I'm getting this kind). It started very mildly the first time I got a headache this week while I was working out. It was a throbbing heartbeat-like pain in the back of my head (left side mostly) as the week went by and as I continued to work out the headaches got worse.
Wednesday I was running in gym class and I got a very bad one that last about 15 minutes. And Thursday I went to work out and after doing bench press(the first set of the night for working out) I got an extremely painful one, I had to leave the gym and go home, it lasted for hours, I even woke up today with a slight pain in the back of the head. I of course told my mother yesterday and we plan to go to a doctor but I'm wondering if there's any info or help or anything at all that could explain why I'm all the sudden getting these and how I can avoid it without stopping my routine. Back in grade 7 I had a grand mal seizure that made me get migranes all the time, however now (im in grade 11) I never get them, but now I'm starting to get these and I'm very worried...
    Thanks for any help

My friend got migraines all the time, so the doctor thought it was the food she ate. Every month she had to cut out a type of food until they stopped; she can not have cheddar cheese. So it might be the food you are eating. Have you changed your diet while working out?

I also started using "IsoFlex power bars" which have about 30g of protein and some other stuff which I'm not sure I have to bother mentioning, unless you think that's the reason and ill have a better look at them

I think you should research the ingredients because they could be bad for you. You could also substitute the "IsoFlex power bars" for another type of protein bar or just stop eating them all together. Try that for about 2 weeks or so, and see if your headaches have stopped.
