    Pregnant, breast cancer?
Okay so I'm 11 1/2 months pregnant, and about a week an a half ago,I noticed a lump about the size of a grape in my right breast. Everyone told me it was probably just changes from pregnancy, but I went to the doctor on Friday & he wanted to check it. He said if he could extract clear fluid from it, it was fine... but NO fluid came out at all. So he sent me to the hospital to get an ultrasound. I'm so scared because he seems worried enough to get that checked right away, and when the results come, I have an appointment with a specialists. My doctor said it might be a fibroid tumor which is harmless.. but what if its not.. what if it's cancer??

    11 1/2 months? Or 1 1/2 months? I'm going to guess you meant 1 1/2 lol

Don't stress yet. Stress isn't healthy for you or your baby. If it is cancer, look at the positives: you've caught it early and you have doctors there to take care of you. And today's medicine and technology is pretty amazing. Hopefully its nothing. He probably only wants you to get it checked out to make sure it's nothing though. Hope for the best :) <3

Waiting on those test results can be horrible! I've been there myself. There are lots of benign things it could be. There is the possibility of cancer, but the good thing is that you went to the doctor right away, and you're having tests done right away. If detected early, breast cancer can be very treatable. Anytime there is any change in your breast at all, it's good to get an ultrasound or mammogram done. So, your doctor is just being careful by having you get the imaging tests.

What does the lump feel like? Does it move? Does it feel really hard or does it feel kind of soft and squishy?

Here are a couple links that discuss breast changes and lumps:

Breast lumps: Types of lumps and what they mean - MayoClinic.com

Understanding Breast Changes - National Cancer Institute

The last one is really good.

In the meantime, try to keep yourself as calm as possible. Make sure to take it easy. Try to stay busy, read a good book, get caught up on some extra work, whatever it takes to keep your mind off this. I hope that you are OK and get good news, and I will keep you in my prayers. Let us know what you find out!

It's kind of hard.. but not rock hard.and I've gone to the dr. again since I last posted. They said it looks like a fibroid tumor or whatever, but they are sending me to another dr. to do a needle biopsy to make sure. I'm still waiting on my appt. for that. I'm kind of scared, but then also anxious because I read this is a sure way to see if its serious or not!

I had a benign lump a few months back. It turned out it was totally harmless, but when I was on my way to the hospital to find out, I think it was one of the scariest moments of my life. So, I definitely understand being scared about it. I was scared and didn't want to go on the one hand and on the other hand I wanted to speed it up and get in there right away so I would know and stop wondering.

I really hope that everything is OK. Remember that the odds are much greater that it is benign.
