Collecting Child Support as an adult
My dad is paying back child support and I don't know how to go about maybe getting some of it. I am 27 years old and I was a state ward for about 10years and then imancipated at 17. He had custody of me but they are still making him pay for the years I lived with him before I was taken away at age 7. So I was wondering if I am entitled to some of the money. Please let me know and what my options are.

    Thank you

Most likely they are just making him pay what it cost them.
You would not be entitled to any of that, if you were eligible they should be already sending you anything you would be entitled to.
I am not sure why he would owe for when you were living with him.

No, the child does not get the support money, it goes to pay the people and/or agency that held custody of the child at the time. For the money they spent on the child.
