My dog paralyzed back legs,help
My dog andy has been hit by a car he is a 80 lb lab mix .he is 6 years old and also has a sister her name is abby the two of them are inseparable.the accident just happened 1-24-06,he is at the vet now.his front half of his body is OK down to his hips, but he feels no pain sensation on his hine legs and tail.he does have nerve response though.are worries are if he will be able to urineate and have bowl movements.his only real damage seems to be his lower back pelvis area broken.we saw him urinate a little the next morning after the accident, but he hasn't since.Im 1600 into it and my next option is to take him to a surgeon in gainsville fla, costing about 3000 to 5000.we can't afford to do this, but we love our andy.Does anyone know what the chances of him regaining feeling or bladder functions.thank you for your input and support. I have already looked into k-9 carts
