Filing US Tax Returns from India (L1)
    Hi,

I was in US (Boston) from Apr 2007 till Sept 2007, precisely 143 days.
I had travelled on L1 visa.
I've certain doubts in filing US Tax Returns for 2008 from India.

    1. Which form do I need to fill to file tax returns (both State & Federal) ?

    2. I've my US Bank account still open. So Can I fill the form online & ask for an electronic credit for my returns? Or I've to mail the documents?

    Thanks,
    Pinky

You need to file as a nonresident for federal (1040NR) and as a nonresident for state (Massachussets). I am not sure about the answer to your second question.
