    Small Bump
My boyfriend developed a small bump on the top of his penis. It is in the middle of the shaft and is a browish color. It doesn't itch or hurt. Recently it has grown a little bigger and there now are a few tiny skin colored bumps on the shaft as well. What could this be?

    Monstrosity
Sounds like warts... One of my roommates got them back in the day. He said you see a Dr. (preferabbly a dermatologist) and the Dr. will cut them off. Have him get this checked immediately. You might want to have him start using protection (if you dont) until you get it resolved. To my knowledge for men this is just unsightly but for females this can cause cancer if you get warts.

    1. It is also a risk for cancer in males as well.

There are 3 possibilities for these "bumps"

    1. the scary - it could be genital warts caused by HPV (human papilloma virus). These are infectious... HPV is also associated with cervical + anal cancer.

    2. not so scary - it could be something called molluscum contagiosum, which is a viral infection (benign). This, however, IS an std. the bumps are usually 3 - 5 mm in size and there are multiple bumps. Sometimes, you can squeeze a white substance out of it (like a pimple).

    3. just fine - it could just be an irritation or inflammation. Commonly found on the shaft (usually on the underside). Usually, there are hairs protruding from these bumps.

In all cases, it's best to get it checked. If you've been having unprotected sex with him, it's also best to get yourself checked as well.
