    Probation.what happens
I'm 18 yrs old and I was charged with Felony trafficking of marijuana and underage possession of alcohol. I wasn't under the influence of drugs or alcohol when I was arrested. I got the felony charged reduced and was convicted of underage possession and attempted possession of marijuana because there wasn't enough evidence to convict me of trafficking. I did 10 days in jail and was placed under probation for 3 years or something. I was wondering if they would be testing me for drugs or alcohol. I will pass a drug test fine, but I do enjoy drinking. I go in tomarow for my first meeting. I was just wondering would happen at these meetings, and if they do test me, how long would alcohol stay in my system in order to be detected in a test? Would I be able to go out to a party tonight?

When you meet with your probation officer they will tell you. But since at least where I am at, you have to be 21 to drink, I would say most likely they will check for it.

Not a good idea to party the night before seeing a PO for the first time. You will probably be tested for both drugs and alcohol on a pretty regular basis until your probation is ended. It could be a weekly testing or a monthly testing. You'll find out soon enough what the testing schedule will be.

Also remember if you would have bad luck in getting stopped by the police while having drank anything, they will ticket you again, and guess what, violation of probation, And you now have a target on your back to police who know of this.

Well I remember when I was in court, they had giving me a PSI. Pre Sentence Investigation, and the probation officer told the judge that he didn't beilive I have a drug or alcohol problem, so maybe they aren't going to waste the money to test me?
