    6/3 w gnd.
Ran into conflicting answers locally on this one. Can you bury 6/3 , in conduit if it is NOT rated for burial (inside use)? Or any wire for that matter (12-2,14-2 etc.. )Some around here seem to think so. Some do not. I say NO, but I'm not an expert on this subject.

There should be NO conflict. This is a pretty cut and dry issue.

    6/3 NM-B (Romex), ABSOLUTELY NOT.
    6/3 UF, absolutely yes.

And underground conduit IS a wet location.

Also, if this is a complete conduit run, box to box, and not just a sleeve for protection, then you are MUCH Better off with insulated conductors. Cable in conduit screams DIY, or if done by a contractor it screams hack.
While now expressly forbidden it is greatly frowned upon.

Almost every time this is done the conduit fill is exceeded. Also, there are other factors involved that make it not a good thing to to. Cable, especially something like 6/3, is extremely difficult to pull in. In many case the conductors are damaged by pulling a cable into a conduit run.
