What should I do? Ex emailed me.
I got an email from my ex--whom blatantly cheated on me, is a pathological liar. I have proudly stopped talking to him for the last two months. I have since seen this guy prancing around with a new woman which has been very painful. In his email, which was very brief and the first contact in months, he wanted to get his movie from me which I have and which is fine but also said he "needed to talk to me." I am not sure how/if to respond. I will gladly leave the movie for him but do not want to speak with him. Knowing him, he would only want to talk to me because he needs something. At the same time I am curious what it is he wants to talk about. I am thinking of just returning the movie and not talking to him at all despite my looming curiosity... I think that might be the safest option. Any ideas?

I'd be tempted to drill him about the new girl and am afraid I would act psychotically paranoid or overly sweet.

Simply do what you know you need to do.

If you don't trust yourself around him, or vice versa, give the movie to a friend and have them give it to him. That's what friends are for.

You don't have to talk to him if you don't want to. There is nothing wrong with that. If you feel like you want to hear what he has to say, meet him at a coffeeshop. If I were you and had the same obvious hang-ups, I wouldn't want to have him at my apartment, but that's up to you.

    Take care of you, sweetie.

The movie is a pretense excuse, and so obvious, let him get another movie, and send his emails to spam, or delete them. Keep no contact.

Tell him you can mail the movie to him, that you're too busy to talk to him.

I just don't understand why you would even consider wanting to resume contact with a man who cheated and lied to you. Don't tell him your busy, tell him you don't want to talk to him because he is scum.

I still have not replied and will leave his movie with co-workers since we work in the same area. Yes, I should tell him WHY I don't want to see him but even that would require contact which makes me queasy. I only wanted to consider what he said out of CURIOSITY you know--not that it would matter but I just wonder *what* he might say that's all. But, I am also fine with never finding out...
