My daughter is getting a divorce in KY. Only married 2 months. Her & her husband built a house through self help housing before they were married. We gave her the land to build it on but it had to be put in his name & hers. This land has been in our family for many years. She wants the house for her & the baby. My question is since we gave them the land ( family land for over 100 years) can the judge allow her to keep the house and not sale? They have only paid on the house loan for 1 year

Judges can really do what ever they feel is fair. Likely he will say sell, that is unless in the settlement agreement she keeps the house and buys him out of the equity. You gave the land to them so no matter how long it was in the family, it is now not.
