    Wiring a switched receptacle
I would like to run my pool filter and chlorine generator off the same switched receptacle. My pool filter has a plug which I would like to keep so I can store it over the winter. My chlorine generator is hard wired to it's own circuit. I would like to install a switched receptacle to run my pool filter. I would also like to run my chlorine generator off the same switch. Is this possible?

Turn off power and remove the (hardwired Clorine Generator)

Just install an electrical box with a duplex that is switched --

Install a cord and plug on the Clorine Generator -- Done

Plug in both cords and turn power back on -- now switched

This picture shows a switched outlet -- just ignore the black wire

That goes from a wirenut to the bottom of the outlet (right side)
