Philips Universal Remote Control: How to change from SP to SLP
I have a Philips Universal Replacement remote control. The instruction manual does not tell how to change from SP mode to SLP mode. I have tried calling Philips, but apparently they outsource to another country and the customer service reps are not properly trained. I was on the phone with a rep for over thirty minutes and he could not help me resolve the problem. The model number is PM335. I purchased it at Walmart a few months ago. I can only record 2 hours on a VHS tape in the SP mode. I want to change it to SLP so that I can record 6 hours on a tape. When I go into the programming, I am able to tab over and highlight the 'SLP' on the screen, but no matter what key I press, it does not activate this feature. I would really appreciate help solving this issue.

    Thanks,
    Katherine

    Stratmando
When you get SLP on the screen, press enter, then left, right, or up or down, see if it changes.
    What VCR do you have?
