How many recessed lights on one circuit
    Hi There!

I am wondering how many recessed lights I can put on one 15 amp or 20 amp circuit. Also, could you tell me how to properly connect each light in series and if so do I need any junction boxes. What type of electrical wire do I need for this project. I was thinking of putting in 6 recessed lights in my livingroom because there is not enough light. Can you help me in this matter, thank you.

I would run wiring(romex?), conduit? From switch location to first light then to 2nd light, then to 3rd and so on, You will have 2 whites, 2 blacks, and 2 bare the connect to each lights wires.
You can have 1920(80% of 2400) watts on 20 amp. 6 cans with 60 watt bulbs are only 360 watts.
