Can I file my taxes as Married Filed Joined, If I stay with my wife less than 6 month
    Here is my situation:
I came to U.S on Sept 17, 2007. Got married on Sept 18, 2007 legally. Then I and my wife lived together for rest of the year.
Can we file our income tax with status Married filed Jointly ?

Please help me in clearing my doubt!! Thanks

Yes, you can file jointly, your wife as (presumably) either a U.S. citzien or resident alien, and you as her non-resident alien spouse.

In doing this, you CHOOSE to be treated as a resident alien for all of 2007, which means ALL of your 2007 world-wide income is subject to U.S. taxes.
