    CatGenie installation
I am considering purchasing a CatGenie automatic cat box and using the drain pipe for my washing machine. The product can be connected to the cold water intake for the washing machine and the drain can be placed in the washing machine drain pipe. But, my washing machine is in the basement and the waste water must be pumped upward. I do not have an open drain pipe. It is a closed pvc connection that somehow moves the water upward to the drain line and out to the septic tank.
Is there a way to hook up the CatGenie to this closed system? For more information on the CatGenie, go to CatGenie.com. It shows all the parts they send for installation and plumbing/electrical requirements, but does not address this issue. I have read some reviews by owners of this system and know some are located in basements.
Thanks for any help you can give me. The CatGenie is a big investment - about $350 and I don't want to buy it and not be able to use it.

You wish to hook your washer hose up to to a cat poop pump? Unless you have a washer hose check valve installed all the poop in the cat box discharge hose would drain right back into your washer once the cat box pump shut down. Hooking your washer up to a litter box isn't the best idea I've come across today. I would place the litter box in the bathroom and discharge into the toilet. Good luck, Tom.
