    My outsde unit making poping noise tripping inside breaker I have central heat and air a carrier unit electrian by trade could it be low on freon

    You could check for a short in the wiring in the outside unit. Other than that it could be compressor time and that should be left to a pro.

    Yeah sounds like the compressor tripping the breaker. Take a amp reading from the compressor to see what kind of amp draw you get. The nameplate should give you the start amps and run amps on the comp.
