Unfortunately, my wife had a miscarriage around last week or so. We were and are still quite sad about the whole situation but the doctor said sometimes this just happens :-(

Just wondering what the general consensus is on when we can start trying again?. or when is it safe?

It depends on the doctors advice. My personal advice is for you to wait for two periods. My wife had a miscarriage and we just wanted to be safe as well. It also depends on how far along she was as well.

It is very sad and sorry for the loss, but there is hope.

I am in the same boat. According to my doc... we need to wait at least 6-8 weeks after the miscarriage. I was anywhere from 2 weeks-6 weeks pregnant when I miscarried. I agree with Jesushelper... it all depends on how far along you were.

Well first off I have to agree with Jesushelper he was the one that talked my husband through our miscarriages, so what he says is good advice. I have had 3 miscarriages in the past and now I am 26 weeks pregnant, I became pregnant 4 weeks after my miscarriage. I don't recommend getting pregnant that fast let your body rest for a while and then plan for a healthy pregnancy. I wish you and your wife all the best good luck.
