    Haven't received my 1099
I haven't received my 1099 as of 2-22-08. I quit my job and was told they were going to add other charges to my 1099. What can I do to dispute these charges. I only have a copy of the hand written stubs for my payroll...

You will probably receive a W2 from your employer, not a 1099. There is a little known form that can be used for W2's not received. I'd suggest going to Internal Revenue Service and take a look. I used it once for my parents when I did their taxes because the company went belly up.

You can file using that form and amend your return later.

As for disputing, I don't know. At this point, you don't know what your disputing. At least call and write the company that you did not receive your W2. I's probably call them and say I will follow this up with a written certified/registered letter. I always forget the term for things without value.

I know that I will get a 1099 because I worked as a independent contractor. Thank you for your answer. I appreciate it... :)

If you do not receive a 1099, you should file your taxes based on the best information you have to include the income on your tax return.
