    Hi,

    To

    Internal Revenue Service Center
    Po Box 970006
    Tt Louis Mo 63197-0006

    state
    To
    State Of New Jersy
    Division Of Taxation
    Po Box 222

I Understand That State Is Going To The Correct Mailing Address.

They are filed by state: See Where to File Tax Returns - Addresses for Tax Professionals By State, U.S. Possession or Foreign Country.

Thanks for your reply and link to IRS.

My question is like can we send the 1040EZ (Federal) and W-7 (ITIN) to the same address?

    Why should it matter?

Our state does something unique for state taxes: They use 3 PO boxes. One for no refund. One for owe and one for you have to pay. That makes more sense.

Not one for single, one for married, one for married with kids and one for filing in multiple states.

The IRS address they gave you is wrong. You should see the instructions to Form W-7 to confirm that you are including the proper information with this form. http://www.irs.gov/pub/irs-pdf/fw7.pdf The IRS address for Form W-7 is:
    Internal Revenue Service
    ITIN Operation
    P.O. Box 149342
    Austin, TX 78714-9342

The W-7 should be attached to the front of Form 1040.

    Hi,

I have submitted W-7 attaching to the front of Form 1040 to the following address that was given by the HR block. I called them again and checked on this, they said federal should go to the following address and I need to attach the W7 to the form 1040EZ itself.

    Advice me on this..

I have the same problem, I mailed it via UPS but they used a different address. Will IRS send the W-7 back to me? Thanks.

The IRS will likely forward the tax return to the proper IRS service center.

Thanks. I should've researched on ITIN's by myself instead of asking our company's accountant since this will be my first time to file. He just gave me the address and told me to mail the W-7 along with the 1040 but he never told me to attach them in-front of the 1040 form. Will it be a problem if the W-7 and the notarized documents are not attached in-front of the 1040 form? Sorry for a silly question since I am just too anxious about my first ITR. Thanks again.
