At the age of 18, I feel like both of you are old enough to make your own decisions and live with the consequences (the law says you are... so why not).

However, people generally tell you "don't have sex until you're physically, financially, and emotionally ready to have a child"

For me, I lost my virginity at 17 with a girl I dated for 3 years at the time. While I don't regret this decision, some might tell me that I wasn't ready.

I suggest talking to a parent (if you talk to your parents about sex) or a counselor about this decision. Think about it for a while. And bring it up to the guy as well and see what he thinks.
