I take it this isn't a one handled valve and that it's leaking from the spout and not the srem. Why are you taking the stem into a plumbing shop? You don't have to even know the brand name to change a faulty washer. I would shut the water off and remove the stem. Now run your finger around the seat to check for nicks or rough spots. If you find any replace the seat as well Go down to the hardware store and purchase a assortment of faucet washers and a new seat if necessary. One of the washers is sure to fit the stem. Replace the washer in the stem and reinstall the assembly. Good luck, Tom
