I have to get Lefort 1 surgery.


Of course I don't want to but, my doctor told me I really don't have a choice or else he can't give me braces ;[

He didn't tell me much about the surgery...

So I cam here...

If you have had it, can you please tell me
1. Is it a lot of preporation before surgery?
2. How long is it?
3. Is it a lot of pain?
-is your mouth wired?
4. Have you improved?
5. Is it worth it?

I'd never heard of this term so I googled it and this is what I found.

I would think there will be some discomfort but many patients have orthognathic surgery done, some before their braces, some after, depending on their circumstances.

I think you can count on being wired for a bit and yes, in the long run, it's worth it!

The best thing to do is to ask the doctor who will be doing the surgery.
