Live in NJ, work in NY - I am taxed twice?
I live in NJ and have been working as a consultant for a NY company (from home) since October. They've just offered me a full-time position "based" in NY - however, I will continue to work from home at least three days a week. Will I be taxed by both states - in effect, double taxed? I haven't worked in NY since 2001, so perhaps the rules have changed, but NY used to tax my husband's salary as well, although he never worked in NY. Perhaps that was part of the old commuter tax? Thanks for your help!
