It came to my attention that Barrack Obama is not a fan of our pledge of allegiance. And doesn't wear the American Flag Pin (Which ALL people in office have worn since 9-11-2001 to show unity and remembrance of all who died on that terrible day).

Why can't there be an amazing democratic candidate?. I was really pulling for edwards.. I don't want hillary or obama... or mccain.. (I've been raised a democrat.. I live in West Virginia lol)

I'd rather have hillary in there than obama though. At least her plan entitles united health care. Plus she'll wear a flag lol.

I'm outraged at the lack of time you have taken to investigate the information you are spreading. If you bothered to look, you'd find that Obama has often led the pledge of allegiance in congress.

As far as not wearing the pin as an empty symbol only to gain from the symbolism involved, more power to him for choosing to let his actions speak loud and clear.

"I'm less concerned with what you're wearing on your lapel than what's in your heart," Obama said while campaigning in Independence, Iowa.

"You show your patriotism by how you treat your fellow Americans, especially those who serve. And you show your patriotism by being true to your values and ideals. And that's what we have to lead with, our values and ideals," Obama said.

I think it's good that he isn't standing behind "tacky" symbolism that many choose by showing a flag with no real commitment in place of showing by actions.

People... you really need to look into things you hear... investigate both sides... especially with the internet, there's no reason, other than ignorance, to be blindly misled into spreading false information.

This is a non-issue. But, his wife saying she's proud of her country for the first time in her adult life? That's not cool no matter how they spin it.

Don't you think having a spouse doing so well, and being supported by so many, would be enough to make you forget about anything else that had made you proud... I would think it would certainly feel like the proudest sensation to eclipse all others.

He's apparently running for Messiah.

American Politics has been made into the filthiest, most morally objectionable and despicable event in modern history. No holds barred lies are perfectly acceptable. Who in their right mind can say they approve of what is going on. The thing I find interesting is that some American Citizens wholly approve of it and become participants in the lies by spreading them. God bless America because I won't, and like Michelle I haven't see much in the last 30 years to inspire my applause. To steal is to take something with-out consent of its owner… this was not the case. And it was not the speech it was a couple of lines.

I am about the last person who wants to see him as President but that is because of his liberal ideas. But even the most left wing talk show hosts have defended him against all of the bull about not using a bible to swear in and about the pledge. It is merely a lie that someone wants spread, my guess Hillary wants it spread since the Republican side has defended him from the lies.

It's OK to be from West Virginia and to be raised a Democrat; one of the nice things about America is, we get to grow up, mature, and make our own choices. Just be aware that when you are voting for someone like Hillary who promises universal healthcare, that it isn't free and that socialist/fascist healthcare doesn't work anywhere. Just imagine going to the postoffice for your healthcare; makes me sick thinking of it.

In HIlary's world, if one does not want to sign up for the universal healthcare, what are the consequences to that person? I had heard, on CNN, about Hilary's proposals for enforcement. The Washington Post also reported it, using garnishment of wages as a method of enforcement. Then I saw the following article:

And we hear story after story of healthcare rationing in Canada and Canadians coming to the US for treatment; not many stories of Americans going to Canada for physician services; I've never heard one, ever.
