Hi everyone! I have never been pregnant before so I need help. I've heard and read in forums, you can only get pregnant 14 days after the last day of your period, so I'm a little confused. My fiancé and I had sex the day after my last period. While being intimate, we weren't aware that he ejaculated inside of me, and we continued our intimacy session for about 10 more minutes before we realized he had already released. When I pushed, a puddle dripped out. What are the chances that I may be pregnant?

Most women ovulate around the 14th (middle) day of their cycle, which is why they may be most fertile that day, however, not all women ovulate then, and even after ovulation for some time fertilization could occur. It is impossible just to know when you ovulate, which is why you need to use protection every time, no matter what point you are at in your cycle. Basically, you can get pregnant any time you have sex, so use protection if you don't want a pregnancy.
