Parent Victims Need Protection From Incarcerated Teenager Daughter!
Mother & adopted Father would like to relinquish their Rights to a 16.5 yr old daughter to the state of Washington. She is currently incarcerated at a JRA facility and is due to be paroled 04/12/2008 - We are the victims of her crimes which have all been violent from Assault 2, Assault 3, & Harassment, Malicious Mischief 1, $12,000 damages all are felonies, and Assault 4 & tampering with 911 help. She has numerous other offenses but was not charged for them, like Theft of property to the sum of $14,000, Vandalism to a City Museum, Violation of Probation, Violation of Home Arrest, Running Away, Breaking Curfew, and Not Attending School. When she committed the Malicious Mischief charge, she was on House Arrest for Probation Violation. The probation was not even going to charge her until we wrote the Prosecuting Attorneys office telling them how scared we were of her. She left the propane on and that could have blown up the house.

We have been dealing with this issue for about 4 years in the court system. Nobody seems to care, they will not help us. We need help and can afford an attorney if needed, we just need help. We have tried different avenues with this kid. We have done counseling for years both separate and family. We have tried Medication. We have tried anger management, we have tried me staying home with her, and nothing seems to work. We even have our family therapist that says she is a danger to herself and others but the state does not care, they say she is a perfectly normal teenage. What "normal" teenage holds a broken bottle to their mother's neck and threatens to slit her throat. What "normal" teenage girl holds butcher knives up and thinks it would be funny to throw them at her mother and kill her. What teenage girl chases her father around the house with knives and threatens him. What "normal" teenage girl lets people in your house to steel $14,000 worth of stuff, everything we ever worked for and then said we deserve it. What normal teenage girl lets people into your house when your gone and destroys the inside causing $12,000 which only covers parts not labor to fix the house.

We are scared to death of her as she has told us many times she was going to kills us and to watch our backs. However, because we are the parents the state will not help us. We are tired of being held hostage in our own home and afraid to be there. I am tired of being abused mentally and physically by her. Even Our family and friends are scared that she is going to kill us. Please we need help. If anyone can help us or can point us in the right direction please. We have talked with an attorney and most have only dealt with parents not wanting to have their rights taken away. It is my understanding that you can't relinquish your rights unless someone is willing to take her. We tried to get an At-Risk Petition or CHINS done but again the lady who I talked with told me that I should place her in a treatment camp for behavoir cause they don't have placement for her. They also told me that the ARY would only make restrictions on her and make us go to counseling again. The issues is not counseling and restrictions, if those where the cure all I would be all for it. As we have been with the same Therapist for awhile now. We are very frustrated with the whole situation and are scared to death that she is going to have to come back here.
