    Tax laibility OPT visa
Dear expert,I came to the united states in Dec 2005 and started working on OPT visa in February,2008.My annual salary is 62K and I am employed in Illinios.I am married and a citizen of Pakistan.
I am in doubt about the amount of Tax deucted by employer.I know about SS and medicare exemption.Do I also fall in treaty exemption category.
Finally what will be the approximate amount or % of tax deducted from my check.

    Thanks!

Because you are a foreign national on F-1 visa, you should claim Married with no more than TWO exemptions on the W-4, and your employer may not even allow that.

How you complete the W-4 will dictate how much will be withheld from your salary.
