    In a clutch buying pickle!
I own a honda civic 1994. I recently realised the engine that's in is not the engine the chassis came with... question- When purchasing a new clutch kit should I go buy the engine # or the Chassis #? Clutch is very low and in desperate need of info on this!! :(

When buying a new clutch you need the year of the car, model, engine and what trans is in the car. Since you have a civic you might want to look on eBay. They have the best prices and I have own many clutchs off eBay. When you are looking make sure that it is a kit and not just a clutch. You would need to replace the throw bearing, disk plate and the clutch itself. If you don't not know how to replace the clutch please go to a auto shop.

Definitely not a fun job. Remember to drain the transmission oil.

You'll need an inside bearing puller and a clutch alignment tool for your vehicle to do the job.
