Call child protective services. You must have an agency in your county that keeps children who are taken away from the parents when they are abusive to their kids. There are agencies where parents can take their own biological children when they become a danger to the family. When you have a child that is a danger to the rest of the family, it is the expected and responsible thing to do----TO REMOVE THEM FROM THE HOME.
Call your police station for the name of the agency in your county.
Hello k:
When you rent an apartment, you check out the neighborhood. When you buy a car, you test drive it. When you adopt a kid, you do some research. IT'S NOT CPS FAULT that you're not a good shopper.
I just think you haven't a clue about parenting.

Not to side with CPS here but it could well be they did not have an accurate history either. When my (now ex) husband and I adopted our youngest son, the history was as bare as a plain pancake. The family never released anything but that he was born with Down's Syndrome. No family medical history at all. It was like a clean slate. We could not get access to any prior medical records, those were sealed.
How old is this child and when did you adopt him? What interventions have you tried? Is there a psychiatrist involved in your son's health and welfare? What about school? Is there an IEP for your son? Behavior management specialist in your school? Any medication? What about parent training? Family counseling? In home services for your child and family? \
Before you throw that child out the door, what really has been tried - honestly now.
I never trust CPS whether it is their fault or not.
Take a kid as a foster kid and then decide on adopting when it comes to CPS being involved.
They will tell you he is your kid -your problem now.
If they will not do anything to help you you are going to have to get the kid involved with counseling, behavior/anger management, whatever it takes or things will get worse and then they will come and take him and possibly any other kids you might have in your family.
There are two attorney's that is helping families that have had problems with cps and want to pursue civil actions.
