How to become a guy's friend?
He is of course a guy, and differently he is my ex-boyfriend.
I think he is handsome and clever, also clumsy.
He was hurt by the break-up, and so was I.
I have five months with him in the same university, and then I would go to a remote place.
How to become a guy's friend?
    Thank you!

... did you break up with him?

If so, really, you can't expect a friendship with him until he's ready to be your friend. Sorry.

Constantly talking to him won't help either. Give him his space, let him heal.

If he broke up with you, and he doesn't want to be your friend, it just means he doesn't want anything to do with you. Leave it alone.

As sweet as this sound, it's really hard to maintain a healthy friendship with someone you were once intimate, not stating that its impossible, but it isn't easy esp if you have feelings for him you have to be prepared emotionally for all the details he may disclose even new relationships, but I must say if you guys become distant, the friend thing will began to become obsolete, there is a saying out of sight out of mind... after a while the contact will fade, I mean you can't force him to be your friend you can offer however.. simply say know that I will always be a friend, or be here for you and mean it.. DONE... if he doesn't keep in touch then there is no more you can do. DONE

It's very very hard to have a friend who used to be a boyfriend. It might be too soon for him and yet you're going to be separated. You might need to just move on and if it happens later, that's great, but it might not happen. Most relationships don't turn into friendships. Take care of you and you'll get over it. Take care.

I agree with all. It's very difficult to have and maintain a friendship with someone that you were intimate. I have been able to have friendships with my ex's but not right away. Most of the time it takes about 6 months of healing time and then casual conversation begins. Depending on WHY you broke up, it can be a very excellent friendship. Relax. Let time work it's magic.

Leave him alone, and you both let each other heal in your own times, sorry, but time is what you both need, so leave it alone. You can't force friendship.

The more you think about being friends with someone u broke up with, it's going to b difficult all the more... u would do crazy things expecting something nice as friends to happen and guess what... it won't happen so easily... so get yourself busy with something and let life decide what it has in store with you in terms of this person...
