Some say "consciousness condensed is matter" ; some others say " They are different". Which is correct?
Some say "consciousness condensed is matter" ; some others say " They are different". Which is correct?
Who says that?
Source?
I am unable to give you the exact source. However, on reading books on philosophy , specially Eastern, I read, on many occasion these concepts . If I could get a clear clarification on this subject that will be of much use to clear to fix myself on the proper side.
Thanks
Consciousness is a *mystery* at the present time. There are many scientific enquiries into the nature of consciousness going on now. Saying consciousness condensed is matter, you were saying that consciousness is the same as energy... E=MC2(Einstein).
At the present time, consciousness is awareness... not energy.
Just my opinion.
Well, everything is energy. But, however true that might be, that's not a very useful statement.Quote:

Nothingness is not something and so does not count in "everything". (and of course, I'm not sure you could show that nothingness exists.. )
Consciousness is just a product of biological processes, which involve matter and energy, so I'm certain it is just energy.
There is space and matter/energy... almost everything is space(nothingness) matter defines space/nothingness.
Then, there is awareness/consciousness which hasn't be scientifically understood; there are many scientists working on the subject.
A pure vacuum (what I assume you mean by nothingness), still has an energy associated with it called the vacuum energy.
There is no evidence of something which is not energy. It seems to be a good bet that awareness is just a mode of operation for this collection of energy that we call a brain. It doesn't seem sensible to assume that it's something different altogether.
Interesting back and forth... we agree to disagree.
So I find that I am left in my good old place! Any way thanks
Many questions were asked in the ancient Hindu
Texts about the nature of Parama Atama (infinite
Soul, or Almighty) and Atma (soul). In the olden
Days, Gurus used to put these questions to
Disciples to test their knowledge.
What is the constituent material of Almighty? All
Created materials are subject to decay and
Annihilation, Almighty is above the influence of
Decay and annihilation. He is eternal.
Then is Almighty a void? In terms of material
Characteristics, Almighty is void (Soonya).
Can this lead to the logic that Almighty is not
There? No. Almighty is there. He is consciousness,
The infinite consciousness. The Atma which is a
Finite piece of Almighty, according to Advaita
Vedanta - the personal consciousness. Soul was
Created in the likeness of the Infinite Soul.
Since Atma is only a minute piece of Almighty, is
It subjected to annihilation? No. Atma is also
Eternal.
How can the finite understand the creation planned
By the infinite?
