Hi,

I was filling for my taxes of 2007,So I have many question regarding this-

I am a citizen of India came to USA in 2004 Oct on F1 and from Dec-2006 to Oct 7th 2007 I was in OPT and from Oct 7th my H1B got started.

I started working from 1st Oct 2007. My question are-

1. For filling a Tax, I am I a nonresident alien for any part of 2007?

2. I worked for 1 Week from Oct1st to Oct 7th on OPT,So how different I need to file my Tax here?

3. My Income is less than 8000 for 2007, so do I qualify for Earned Income Credits(EIC),while filling Taxes of 2007?

1) File as a non-resident alien for 2007, filing Form 1040NR or 1040NR-EZ.

2) It makes no difference.

3) You are NOT ELIGIBLE for the EIC for 2007.
