    Relinquishing parental rights
How do you go about relinquishings your parental rights in the state of Pennsylvania? Are you still financially responsible if you give up your rights?

In most areas you are still financially responsible. Giving up rights means you have no say in medical care, schooling, religion, or other aspects of child rearing. It basically means you've given up the right to have any control in the child's life but you could still be held responsible for child support.

You will have to hire a lawyer to proceed.
