    Lasik Eye Surgery
    Hey :)

So I was thinking about getting Lasik Eye Surgery this why I don't have to wear glasses.

I am a little bit skeptical about the procedure though.

    IF you have had it

    How is the surgery preformed?
How long is it for each eye?
    Is it painful at all?
    Price Ranges?
    Msot importantly.. .
    Is it worth it?

I am going to speak to a doctor about it as well but I first thought asking people who have it id done before might be helpful.

    Thanks guys :D

I am an Ophthalmic Technician, I assist the doctor with laser eye surgery, so I can offer you some advice and help.

    1. How is the surgery performed? A small flap is made with a tool called a micorkeratome, then laser treatment is applied to the cornea, then the flap is put back and it heals on its own.
    2. How long for each eye? The whole procedure takes about 30 minutes.
    3. Is it painful at all? No, it's not, you are numbed the whole time. You might feel slight discomfort afterwards. But you are given medication for this.
    4. Price ranges? Price can range anywhere from $599 per eye to $2,300 per eye depending on where you live and what your prescription is.
    5. Is it worth it? I've never had a patient say that they regretted it.

Yeah I got a little ahead of myself with this haha ^.^

When I am 21 I think it would be a good age.
I think because my eyesight will be more stable.

That's a good idea. But you're on the right track, it's good to learn as much as possible about it all before you do it!

It's not that bad, it's only half an hour or so... and your eyeball and lids are totally numb. I'll be doing it myself in December.

    Hm...
So I won't notice my eyes open at all?
You must be very excited.. I think :)

    Ohhh...
I wonder if the people can see the doctor opening the flap...
    o.O

(If I do not respond it means I sleping :P )

You will notice that your eyes are open, but you won't feel it.

And you cannot see the doctor opening the flap, the lights go out. But you can see him smoothing the flap over and such... You just don't feel it.

I'm very very very very excited for mine!

There are some risks, as with ANY surgery. Though they are rare, they do exist.

Here is a site that can help you some more:
