Going through a divorce and moving in with partner
Would it affect my divorce if I moved in with a new partner who has already gone through a divorce?

I have moved out and have started divorce proceedings, early days yet unfortunately.

My partner has finalized his divorce and is just in the throes of moving house. We both want to move in together.

    Please can any one help!!

The biggest question here is if this person is the cause of your divorce. If so, it could look pretty bad in front of the judge or if nothing else something your ex's lawyer will hold over your head. If they are not the cause then you can certianly justify having a roommate due to the costs associated with divorce. Just make sure you have a separate bedroom for the time being.

    Hello ig:

Most states have adopted no fault divorce. If your state is one of those, go diddle your brains out, and it won't have any legal affect on you.

It will have no bearing unless the relationship can be traced back to an affair which caused the separation, in which case you could face some difficulties.
