    Hardship paying lease payment
    My paycheck has recently was reduced by 20% due to economy. Can I break my house rent lease that I have until April 2009.

    Well, there is can't and can't. Legally, no you can't. Now, you might be able to go to the landlord and discuss the situation with him and reach some sort of mutual agreement. However, remember that if he lets you out, he's doing you a favor, so make it a good offer for his side. 30 days notice and an additional 2 months rent might get you out. Sure, it's 3 months rent at the old price, but that's better than paying for 13 months, isn't it?

    Sorry there is no way out if the landlord will not work with you. You can go talk to them and see if they can work anything out.
