    Temporary Relief
I received full immediate upper dentures. My dentist put it in right after extraction of several upper teeth. I was able to wear it after that. My mouth was numb, so I could not really tell how the dentures felt. Later that evening, I had to take it off, before going to bed. Since then, I have such a hard time putting it back on. The front slips in perfect, it looks so pretty, but I seem to have a hard time placing the back sides in. I feel a sharp pain on both sides, and it feels just terrible! Because of this pain, I am afraid to force it in, it hurts the side of both cheeks. Please advise! Is there anything I can do temporarily to slip it in without the both of the back sides hurting? I am frustrated without any teeth, and haven't left my home for almost two weeks. My dentist appt. is not till weds. Feb. 20, Please help for now...

Anbesol works wonders, but I really don't recommend using it constantly. While it will help you numb your gums while putting the dentures on, the medicine will wear off and the pain and discomfort will remain.
