    H1B holder tax
    Hello,

I am a newcomer in US, I need some help about my tax! Any help appericated!

I am P.R.China citizen. Move from Canada on June 6th 2007(more than 183days in this year). Start work as a Post-doc researcher at research department of non-profit hospital.
I hole H1B visa, single, non-dependent. I already pay all the tax include federal and medicare and social as well.

My question is what kinds of form I need to fill to get any refund 1040 or 1040NR?

Do I need the T4 form (my income from Canada)?

As P.R. China citizen and first year worker in US, some one told me I should have the $5000 dollors deductive income.

I will leave US next months, I need to get this thing done as soon as possible. Does any one know which company can help with my situation?

    Very comfused! Please help!

You need to file as a dual-status alien.

Because you came from Canada, the Canada-U.S. Tax Treaty applies, so the $5,000 treaty exemption under the China treaty is not applicable in your case.
